Abstract

In Indonesia, the confirmed cases of Covid 19 are 59,394 cases with a death rate of 2,987
cases. One of the ways that can be used to grow children's knowledge about the COVID-19
virus 19 is with animated video presentations. This study aims to determine the effect of
the use of video animation media on the introduction of the COVID-19 virus on the
knowledge of Grade 5 and 6 students of SD Negeri 009, Samarinda. This study used a
design with pre-experimental design with The Static Group Comparison design. The
sample consists of 108 students in grades 5 and 6 with a simple random sampling
technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire sheet distributed through Google
Form, then the data were analyzed univariately and bivariate with the Wilcoxon test at a
significant level of 0.05. The results showed that there was an effect of differences in
students' knowledge with a p-value of 0.001, so it can be concluded that there was an effect
of using animated video media on the introduction of the COVID-19 virus on the
knowledge of students in Grade 5 and 6 SD Negeri 009 Samarinda.
